We’ve got BIG news — PS+R has moved! 🎉

We are beyond grateful for our first home at Stone Climbing. Their support was instrumental in bringing the PS+R dream to life, and they will always remain a valued partner. While we’ll miss the daily energy and positive vibes of the Stone Climbing crew, we’re excited about the possibilities this next chapter brings.

As of Monday, August 11th, PS+R officially relocated to Ktlyst Fitness!

📍 101 Liberty Center Pl, St. Augustine, FL 32092 (just west of SR 16 and I-95).

Ktlyst has been a trusted partner over the past year, offering two expansive strength and conditioning spaces where our athletes thrive under the guidance of expert coaches. This move allows us to deepen that partnership and provides the physical space needed to expand our expertise in return-to-sport training.

As routines start back up post-summer, you may find it tough to get motivated. Jumping straight into a full training cycle for your sport can feel overwhelming—but remember, staying active doesn’t always mean going all in. Even something as simple as a consistent walking routine can make a huge difference.

A recent study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine looked at the impact of walking on life expectancy in Americans. Using hip-worn accelerometers for accuracy, researchers analyzed data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). The findings were eye-opening:

  • If all Americans over 40 matched the top 25% in activity levels, average life expectancy would increase by 5.3 years.
  • For those least active—averaging just 20 minutes of walking daily—adding about 1.5 hours of walking per day extended life expectancy by 10.9 years.
  • Every additional hour of daily activity translated to an average of 169 extra minutes of life.

And the best part? The activity doesn’t have to be all at once. Breaking it into smaller 10-minute bouts still produces meaningful benefits.

So, even in the busiest seasons of life, never underestimate the power of a simple walk for your health and longevity.

Addison sustained a tough high ankle sprain after a tough landing during gymnastics practice.  The ER left her with a pair of crutches and a bandage and not much in the way of advice with getting back to sport. After a short time where she was continuing with high pain levels Addison came to PSR and began her return to sport process- which, with a high ankle sprain, can be a long and painful process! Addison was committed to the process and was able to successfully return to practice and even competing a high level in just 10 weeks, nearly record time for a high grade high ankle sprain.

She was able to compete at 10 weeks and went on to score a 9.525 on floor six weeks after that!

Go Addison!!! We are so proud of you!!
